Product Characteristics

Glass Gel for Nail Extensions — a polymer light-curing material for strengthening and extending nails. Thanks to its stained-glass effect, the material allows you to create a transparent, colored coating with depth and a glass-like effect.

The color intensity can be adjusted depending on the layer thickness: in a thin layer, it creates the effect of a translucent colored veil; at a thickness of up to 2 mm, it has a more pronounced color but retains the translucent glass effect.

Features:
It is acid-free.
It has a medium consistency, leaning toward the thinner side.
It is not sticky, is easy to pick up, and applies easily with a brush.
It self-levels well.
It spreads evenly across the nail plate.
It does not run during application.
Its light consistency reduces the risk of air bubbles forming during application.
Suitable for strengthening the nail plate.
Suitable for the “no-file extension” technique.
Suitable for extensions using top forms.
Has shock-absorbing properties; does not crack upon impact.
Thickens in cold temperatures and thins in warm temperatures.
Can be warmed up further to make the consistency more fluid.
Does not cause a strong burning sensation under the lamp.

Important:
Must be used with a Rubber Base.
The free edge must be at least 1 mm thick.
Initial curing with a lamp: 10–15 seconds, depending on the lamp’s power.
Recommended wavelength for curing: 365–405 nm.
Recommended UV/LED lamp power: 36–48 W.
Maximum material thickness per curing step: up to 2 mm.
Full curing time: 120 seconds.
If the material thickness exceeds 3 mm, we recommend working in two steps with intermediate curing.

Applying Method

REINFORCEMENT

  1. 1. Remove the previous coat.
  2. 2. Do not file the nail shape, or leave up to 2 mm in length, which will be trimmed after leveling.
  3. 3. File the nail gently with a 220-grit file, lifting the flakes of the nail plate, or use a 100-grit buff.
  4. 4. Perform a manicure.
  5. 5. If using removers, wash your hands with soap after use.
  6. 6. Degrease the nail using LUNAmoon Nail Prep in two steps. Use 4 wipes: 1 wipe for every 5 fingers. First step: wipe the nail surface. Second step: place a wipe on an orange stick and thoroughly wipe the cuticle area and nail groove.
  7. 7. Use a primer if desired. If the base coat has sufficient acidity, a primer is not necessary.
  8. 8. The LUNAmoon Rubber Base is best applied with a flat gel brush using rubbing motions. Fill in all the nail grooves and cure under the lamp for 60 seconds.
  9. 9. Remove the sticky layer.
  10. 10. Apply a leveling coat of Glass Gel, leaving a 0.5–1 mm gap from the cuticle. Cure in the lamp for 120 seconds.
  11. 11. After leveling, file the shape. This is necessary to create thickness at the edge of the nail that will support the free edge.
  12. 12. If the nail was thin, it may curl, so be sure to file down 1 mm of the natural nail from the inside. This will help prevent the material from peeling off. If the material is hard and the nail is very soft, the nail itself may begin to separate from the hard material at the free edge.
  13. 13. After filing, remove the sticky layer and clean away the dust.
  14. 14. If necessary, apply a gel polish.
  15. 15. Seal with a top coat without a sticky layer. Cure for 120 seconds. Do not buff after curing to preserve the shine.

CLASSIC EXTENSIONS

  2. 2. Trim the nail length to 1 mm and shape it into a round shape.
  3. 3. File the nail gently with a 220-grit file, lifting the cuticles, or use a 100-grit buff.
  4. 4. Perform a manicure.
  5. 5. If using removers, wash your hands with soap after use.
  6. 6. Degrease the nail using LUNAmoon Nail Prep in two passes. Use 4 wipes: 1 wipe for every 5 fingers. First pass: wipe the nail surface. Second pass: place a wipe on an orange stick and thoroughly wipe the cuticle area and nail groove.
  7. 7. Apply the LUNAmoon primer.
  8. 8. The LUNAmoon Rubber Base is best applied with a flat gel brush using circular motions. Fill in all the nail grooves and cure under the lamp for 60 seconds.
  9. 9. Remove the sticky layer.
  10. 10. Place the nail form on the free edge of the nail.
  11. 11. Apply the Glass Gel artificial nail form. Cure briefly in the lamp for 30 seconds.

  13. 13. Remove the sticky layer and brush away any dust.
  14. 14. Reapply LUNAmoon Rubber Base to the areas where the file was used. Cure for 60 seconds.
  15. 15. Smooth out the Glass Gel, place it under the lamp, and clamp it at the 10–15-second mark. If the material is more tacky, clamp it at the 20-second mark.
  16. 16. Cure in the lamp for 120 seconds.
  17. 17. Remove the tacky layer before applying gel polish.
  18. 18. Apply gel polish as needed.
